Blue dress shirts with white, tabbed collars and white French cuffs?

Friday, May 1st, 2009

So I’ve seen these shirts worn in the movie “Payback” and in various tv shows, Law and Order, to name but one. But I can’t find them for sale anywhere!!

What I’m looking for is where I can buy blue dress shirts with white tabbed collars and white French cuffs… I can find blue shirts with white collars and white cuffs, but not with TABBED white collars… Any ideas???

Thanks!!

I looked up tabbed collars because I didn’t know what that was, and found these:

Dress shirts for atheletically built men?

Friday, March 20th, 2009

What do you recommend in dress shirts for athletically built men with broad shoulders and a narrow waist? Not formal business attire, though I’d like it to be versatile. But it’ll mostly be worn as trendy/casual attire. I dont want to drop the cash for a custom made shirt.

Most shirts I find are either tight at the shoulder or loose at the waist, making it look like its hanging curtain off my chest/shoulders at the waistline, or like its about to burst at the shoulder/chest/arms area.

It’s better to have a shirt that follows my body line and shows the v shape, rather than the hanging curtain effect right? I’ve tried “modern fit” which should be slimmer to no avail. So any reccomendations? Links to the style of shirt would be appreciated.

Have you tried Abercrombie and Fitch???…their wovens are meant for a muscle look…they go with the silouette of your body

Where can I get mens custom dress shirts made? what kind, and how much should it cost?

Hong Kong, there are tailers there that will make you the whole lot – shirts, ties, suits. I am sure they must do business on-line too.

What kind of casual shirt to wear with blazer?

Friday, March 13th, 2009

I have custom made dress shirts with french cuffs that are monogrammed. Would it look inappropriate to wear one of these shirts (like a light blue) tucked into nice jeans with a nice belt and wear a blazer over it?

This will be for out of work, so I want the look to be somewhat casual. Perhaps if I wear more whimsical cuff links rather than professional looking ones? Also, is there ever a reason to wear a shirt (other than a T shirt) untucked when wearing with a blazer?

The functional purpose of turned cuffs is to protect the material from fraying…..Cuffs may be made by turning back the material, or a separate band of material may be sewn on or worn separately attached by buttons or studs. A cuff may show an ornamental border, or have an addition of lace or other trimming.

Having said that… I am rest assured you don’t turn back the material… because I believe “An individual’s monogram is often a very fancy piece of art for adorning luggage, clothing, and so forth.” or for the matter of fact it could just be your loved brand….. Now…. No it will not be inappropriate to wear one of those shirts… I will prefer T shirts too(since you say its “out of work”)..

On your whimsical …MAN(money authority & Need) its all within you as long as you have the attitude…lemme gaurantee u dont need the looks…when u have the attitude 🙂
