What is the loop on the back of some mens shirt for?

    It is there obviously because some men do not hang up their clothes on hangers. So this little loop (designed by a man of course) is so they can hang their shirt on a hook or nail, which ever is easier.

    Well the other answer was right to a point. The hook is for your thumb. If the weather gets too warm and you want to take off the outer shirt, then you can just hook your thumb in it and throw it over your shoulder.ha! ha! Tell you the truth, I honestly don’t know. But sounded good, huh?
